In the art of making music, I believe there is no right or wrong. But there must be a strong belief about what’s right or wrong. This album has come out of necessity and a need to explore a distinct field of expression. I gave myself the strict freedom of making an album where every sound byte counted, with very few instruments, and a specific focus. As a composer and a listener you need to be challenged in order to develop. This album asks the listener to take the time; to challenge the ear so that they might also experience something new.
In order to deepen the atmosphere and expression in the music, seven images accompany the album. None of them are linked to any of the titles. I like the idea that it’s up to you as a spectator and listener, to combine the elements and create your own meaning.
